The TORX® HF profile

In tight and difficult assembly situations (for example, in an engine), it's not possible to securely hold the screw in the screwdriver by hand. This often leads to screws slipping and getting lost. The consequence can be a significant waste of time searching for the screw, and the permanent loss of the screw can even be dangerous. The TORX® HF tools developed by Wera feature an optimized version of the original TORX® profile. Thanks to the clamping force resulting from the surface pressure between the screwdriver tip and the screw profile, the screws are held securely in the tool.

Kraftform

The basic idea behind the original "Kraftform" handle is that the human hand should define the handle's shape, and this has proven correct to this day. Back in the 1960s, the Wera company—in cooperation with the renowned Fraunhofer Research Institute—developed a screwdriver handle specifically designed for the human hand. After a lengthy development period, the Wera "Kraftform" handle was launched in 1968. Since then, it has been continuously improved using modern technologies, but its highly regarded original shape has remained unchanged—because the human hand hasn't changed either.

Quick grip change
