Characteristics
• For use on Detroit Diesel® 60 series, the MFIMMD10 is used on the three camshaft gear thrust plate bolts located inside the camshaft gear cover inside the engine's front gearbox.
• The mechanic must reach under the engine cover to remove the bolts; if one falls out, retrieving it is labor-intensive and time-consuming. This applies to 2002 and later Detroit Diesel® 60 Series engines with a compact gearbox (note: earlier engines with a high gearbox have 13 mm six-point bolts).
• Magnetic sleeves are perfect for installing and removing a fastener, as the magnetic feature will hold the fastener in the sleeve, saving time and frustration.
• Electrical sockets designed and intended for use with electric nut drivers; do not use with impact drivers. The industrial black oxide finish helps protect against corrosion.
