Characteristics

• The anvil end on Snap-on® punch and chisel heads is machined into a modified parabolic curve
• This design directs the impact force to the center of the tool to allow for slow metal displacement
• The parabolic curve controls funneling to reduce chipping and cracking. Heads should be restored to their original shape with hand files as needed. The tough steel alloy is differentially machined and heat-treated for optimal performance. The hardness of the striker head is reduced to increase toughness and add qualities resulting in slower growth of the striker surface.
