The external hex screw is held in the socket wrench by two spring balls and a high-strength, permanently elastic heat-shrink tubing. The tubing is protected from wear and scratches by a front steel ring. This holding feature is particularly useful in hard-to-reach situations where it's not possible to hold the screw by hand.
