05051482001 - 817 R Rapidaptor Quick Change Bit Holder Screwdriver, 1/4" x 133 mm (817 R Rapidaptor Quick Change Bit Holder Screwdriver, 1/4" x 133 mm)
817 R Screwdriver with Rapidaptor quick-change bit holder
Rapid-spin
Thanks to the free-spinning sleeve, the user can guide the screwdriver, whether cordless or cordless, while holding the sleeve during the screwdriving process. This makes it easier to position the bit on the screw and prevents it from slipping off the screw head. It can also be used as a short extension with a free-spinning sleeve for 1/4" applications, for example, in combination with the Wera bit ratchet or the Zyklop ratchet.
Kraftform
The basic idea behind the original "Kraftform" handle is that the human hand should define the handle's shape, and this has proven correct to this day. Back in the 1960s, the Wera company—in cooperation with the renowned Fraunhofer Research Institute—developed a screwdriver handle specifically designed for the human hand. After a lengthy development period, the Wera "Kraftform" handle was launched in 1968. Since then, it has been continuously improved using modern technologies, but its highly regarded original shape has remained unchanged—because the human hand hasn't changed either.
Screwdriver bit holder with Rapidaptor system for 1/4" bits.
Kraftform multi-component handle for fast and comfortable work
With an anti-rolling hexagonal system to prevent the tool from rolling
Featuring Rapidaptor technology for ultra-fast bit changes
Telescopic rod housed in the handle
The telescopic rod I
The quick-change, retractable telescopic pole located in the handle allows for fast manual handling, even in confined workspaces when the pole is retracted. A simple activation of the locking sleeve allows the pole to extend.
The Telescopic Rod II
Now, the telescopic bit holder can be used like a normal screwdriver. By firmly activating the sleeve again, the locking resistance is overcome, and the opening mechanism is released with a clear, palpable, and audible click.
The Telescopic Rod III
The telescopic rod can be retracted and used as an adapter for the machine, or it can also be retracted back to its original position.
“Rapid-in” and auto-lock
The bit can be inserted into the bit holder without activating the sleeve. The locking mechanism engages automatically as soon as the bit is placed on the screw. The bit is now securely held in place without wobble.
“Rapid-out”
To change the bit, simply slide the sleeve forward. At that moment, the spring mechanism separates the bit from the magnet, unlocking the tool. The bit can then be easily removed. And what's especially useful: this feature also allows for the removal of very small bits without the need for any additional tools.
“Chuck-all”
Rapidaptor quick-change bit holders can accommodate ¼" bits according to DIN ISO 1173-C 6.3 and E 6.3 (Wera 1 series) as well as according to E 6.3 (Wera 4 series).
