BiTorsion prevents premature wear
The optimally coordinated torsion zones of the tip and bit holder allow for gradual elasticity under load. This two-stage system prevents premature wear. Furthermore, the tip hardness, optimized for each specific application, ensures a long tool life.

"Take it easy" tool search system with colored covers according to profiles and size markings; to find the precise tool more easily and quickly.
For slotted screws
With BiTorsion zone to dampen torque peaks
A significant reduction in the risk of breakage, a clear extension of the useful life
Durable and sturdy, for universal use
1/4" Hex Drive
With "Take it easy" tool search system: color marking according to profile and stamps with the size
BiTorsion Tips
In mechanical screwdriving, bits and bit holders are exposed to extremely high torque peaks, which frequently leads to significant bit wear or even screw failure. Minimizing these torque peaks makes screwdriving more productive and safer. Wera's BiTorsion system prevents premature wear, extending tool life and significantly increasing mechanical screwdriving productivity.
The effect of the BiTorsion system
The BiTorsion system's effect is based on the combination of two spring elements capable of absorbing shocks. Both the tips and the tip holder have a damping torsion zone that, in the case of torque peaks, transfers the kinetic energy away from the tip end.
BiTorsion phase 1
The torsion zone integrated into the BiTorsion bit holder dampens minor torque peaks (phase 1). A support mechanism effectively protects the torsion zone from overload.
BiTorsion phase 2
The larger peaks are minimized through the torsional effect of the tip stem (phase 2).
BiTorsion and conventional tools
The BiTorsion bit holder and the BiTorsion bit can, of course, also be used independently.
Increased tool life
By using the BiTorsion bit holder, the lifespan of conventional bits increases, and - on the other hand - a BiTorsion bit also works with a regular bit holder.

Item description
Torsion zone to which kinetic energy is transferred in the event of load peaks. Features a softer BiTorsion zone to prevent the tip from bending under very high loads. This significantly increases product longevity. Durable and hard for universal use. 1/4" hexagon, suitable for bit holders according to DIN ISO 1173-D 6.3.
