867/4 IP TORX PLUS® Bits
TORX PLUS®
Compared to the "standard" TORX® profile, the widening of the six flanks that transmit torque between the tool and the screw is achieved through an elliptical, rather than circular, construction. This distributes the force applied during tightening over larger surfaces, resulting in higher torque transmission and increased tool and screw lifespan. A typical application of this profile is in screws for carbide inserts used in machining. Due to stress and temperature changes, these fastening screws often seize with heat, significantly increasing their loosening torque. Therefore, a more stable screw profile is needed in terms of torque to prevent potential screw failure and, consequently, costly machine downtime.
Extra-tough tips
Wera's extra-tough (Z) tips prevent premature breakage of the tip end. Z tips are typically the most suitable tips for universal applications.
For internal TORX PLUS® screws
Durable and sturdy, for universal use
1/4" Hex Drive (Wera Connection Series 4)
